We choose to use Peruvian Pima cotton to make our jijamas as it is recognized as one of the finest cottons in the world. Due to its incredible softness, it has been used (for decades) to make delicate sleepwear for newborns that is soft enough for their highly sensitive skin.
It’s exceptionally long staple, which can measure 50% more than ordinary cotton, allows for a fiber that is incredibly soft yet durable, that doesn’t pill, and almost seems to get softer with each wash. It is highly absorbent, so it takes color-dyes perfectly to create beautiful garments.
The unique climate found on the Peruvian coast creates ideal growing conditions to produce the best Pima cotton. Plus, it is picked entirely by hand which avoids tearing of the fiber and avoids impurities that can contaminate the fiber when using industrial harvesting practices.
So, whether you’re relaxing, unwinding or sleeping, rest assured that jijamas provides the softest Pima cotton experience. Enjoy!
